01
Research & Insight
Behaviour mapping
User experience studies
Spatial analysis
We help clients understand how places are used, experienced and perceived. Through observation, interviews, workshops and spatial analysis, we uncover patterns that traditional project data often misses. From school playgrounds to neighbourhoods and public spaces, our research turns lived experience into practical design insight.
02
DESIGN REVIEW
Inclusive design audits
Public realm reviews
Housing and neighbourhoods
Good design is not only about what is built, but who feels able to use it. We review projects through multiple perspectives to identify barriers, missed opportunities and untapped potential. The result is clear, evidence-based recommendations that strengthen both design quality and long-term use.
03
WORKSHOPS & ENGAGEMENT
Community workshops
Stakeholder engagement
Design charrettes
The people who use a place often hold the most valuable knowledge about it. We design and facilitate workshops that help communities, clients and project teams explore challenges, uncover opportunities and build a shared understanding of place.

FRAMEWORKS & TOOLKITS

Research only creates impact when it is shared. Through talks, publications and industry events, we translate research into accessible insights for architects, planners, developers and decision-makers shaping the future of our cities.

FAQ
Have some questions?
Reach out anytime. We're happy to answer any questions before you commit to working together.
What types of projects do you work on?
We work across architecture, urban design, housing, public space and community-focused projects. Our work ranges from research studies and workshops to design reviews and strategic advisory services.
Do you design buildings?
Yes. Echo Architects is founded by a registered architect. Alongside research and advisory work, we collaborate on architectural and urban design projects where our expertise can add value.
What makes Echo different from traditional consultation?
We focus on understanding how people experience places. Rather than simply collecting feedback, we combine observation, research and engagement to uncover insights that can inform design decisions.
Who do you work with?
We work with architects, developers, local authorities, housing providers, community organisations and cultural institutions.
Can you support projects outside the UK and Denmark?
Yes. Echo works internationally and has experience collaborating with organisations across Europe.
